Bangiya Sanskritik Sangha, Secunderabad is one of the largest Bengalee association in south India operating from the above address. The association was started in the year 1967 and it was registered in the year 1972 as society. It is celebrating Durga Puja in the name and style of Sarvojanin Durgotsab for the 46th time at Keyes Girls High School, Secunderabad. The puja will be inaugurated by His Excellency Sri E.S.L.Narasimhan, Governor of State of Andhra Pradesh. Major cultural events are Alka Yagnik Nite on 15.10.2010, Bengalee Drama “Antony Kaviyal”, directed by Sri Dulal Lahiri, famous team from Kolkata on 13.10.2010. Other than Durga Puja, the association has the unique privilege of hosting Banga Sanskriti Utsab of Department of Culture, Government of West Bengal since the year 2002 without any default.
Almost all leading playback artists, ballet groups, bands, etc., from Kolkata have performed in this unique event. Association is also organizing Rabindra Jayanthi every year at Ravindra Bharathi on behalf of Department of Culture, Government of Andhra Pradesh since last two decades. The association is also sending its one act play team and dance ballet team to other places. The drama team has the unique privilege of performing in Sisir Mancha, Kolkata during National Drama Festival. It is publishing a tri-monthly literary magazine in the name and style of “Shrishti” which has become the only literary magazine published from the city of Hyderabad.
The association also has the unique privilege of hosting the 70th Conference of Nikhil Bharat Banga Sahitya Sammelan in the month of December, 1997 under the leadership of the President Honorable Sri Pranab Mukherjee, Chairman of the committee Sri Amalendu Palit and General Secretary Sri Deepak Bhattacharjee. The association is also celebrating Lakshmi Puja, Kali Puja, Saraswathi Puja, Bengalee New Year Day, etc. It has the Bengalee library with about 12000 books.
